Supply Chain Management

In any business, Supply chain is a system that involves organizations, people, information and resources that contribute in moving a product or service from a company to the buyer.

For this assignment I picked a leading company i.e. Amazon, from where we can buy anything over the internet. They have a huge online business where they sell electronics, software, accessories, clothes, shoes, DVDs, books and magazines etc. CITATION Pah19 \l 1033 (Pahwa, 2019)

I recently bought a DVD from there. The supply chain of this product on Amazon includes specific content from the producer, publishers, distributors, retailers, customers. The manufacturer companies have an input as well as Raw material, equipment, machinery, warehouses, human resources and transportation.

Amazon’s Revenue Model

Amazon’s wide range of items indicate that anyone with a web association is a potential client. Amazon has something to offer to everyone who has an access to the internet. They have a loyal center client section which includes a huge number of people around the world.

Comfort, aggressive evaluation, acknowledgment and the utter scope of products are some of the elements that Amazon’s Business revenue model is based on. Amazon’s business strategy and its revenue model is so well organized and well-designed that it has a huge number of independent revenue sources which are somewhat connected. They have a number of business partners from all fields of life. For Example, books and magazines are sold on Amazon marketplace, book depository, and AbeBooks etc. They also have websites like IMDB and twitch.tv which makes tons of money for Amazon. They also provide IT and technical support to CIA and Netflix.
