Tone and Vision
An organizations view point, ideas, mission statements are of great importance as they set the tone for the entire organization to move in a certain direction. Without a proper mindset or mission statement, an organization or a company cannot flourish and achieve its goals and targets. These little things matter as they are the sole proprietors of the working of any company or organization. An organizations statement of purpose is basically its mission statement. It fills in as a guide for most of the organizations basic leadership. Investors, pioneers and workers are commonly the objective of the mission. It should help employees inside the association recognize what choices and assignments best line up with the mission of the organization. A statement of purpose offers understanding into what organization pioneers see as the main role for being good to go (Staicu, Tatomir Linc, 2018). A few organizations have benefit-inspired missions, while others make clients a point of convergence. Different firms utilize a mission to bring up increasingly selfless aims that eventually lead to benefits.
Verizon is one of the leading communications and networking companies of the world and at present it is leading with the victorious launch of 5G technology. Verizon as we speak is a staunch believer of the word innovation as this single word has brought about wonders for this company. At present the company is covering most of the wireless and wired communication in United States. This single handedly proves how big of a company and how admirable they are towards their work and their mission statement. The company has seen its share of downfalls but that hasnt enabled or made them do down the stream and change their vision in communications business. This solid nature of consistency has led this company to always come back with flying colors and make an impact on the world of communication. Verizon being a key player in the market, has specific set of beliefs that are to be followed by each single member of the organization helping the organization retaining their dominance. They believe in enabling people and businesses to have communications at all levels and provide certain facilities to both at all level. The hierarchy is given utmost equal importance from top to grass-root level. When we look at the information provided by the company itself on their page or search for it, we can say that Verizon has done a very good job in promoting the values that customers cherish and has given priorities to their needs. The company knows what the needs of people are, and, on that basis, they are making their company a great success. The openness of the company in providing many sorts of access to their customers, employees and investors makes them a profitable company (Spence, 2015). Their mission statement comprises of many values that are essential for their customers, workers and investors as well. While it sounds peculiar, and regularly statements of purpose or mission statements are advantageous, they can show an issue on the off chance that you invest excessively energy worrying over what to state and how to state it. This is the point at which its useful to get a second conclusion, particularly by a stranger or an outsider who isnt near the circumstance. Another impediment is on the off chance that you end up being improbable in what you guarantee and, at that point dont convey on those outcomes. Not following the visions and the mission statements, can be a dangerous thing for any organization as it can cause hurt the growth and customers can lose their trust with that company.
Verizons mission statement has been consistent and hasnt changed over a decade. The priorities given to the customers and to the workers speak of great achievements that Verizon has gained over the years. Their mission statement, vision, values and ideas are the same what they stand for and what they strive for. The company follows its mission statement and stay true to it. Their dominance in the communications sector proves their worth and how much better they are shaping the lives of their customers. The numbers speak of their dominance as Verizon is at present providing wireless coverage to 98 of United States and provides services to more than a billion people all around the globe. The given accomplishment of Verizon has proved that this organization is staying true to its mission statement and that it is following the norms and ideas that it has said right from the beginning. The very mission statement of the company inspires 5 of employees to work there. The salary is not the priority, 5 of the employees feel the mission provided by the company is of more importance than salary. Comparably information evidently displays that an intensive undertaking declaration and consistent fundamental company morals remain vital to preserving worker orientation. The workers experience at the Verizon can be heard and read about just by searching on the web and the experiences they have shared with the rest of the world are very impressive. The concept of teamwork is the main factor as said by a worker. The feeling of working in an easy environment is the basic factor for innovation and Verizon is all about innovation.
Verizons mission to enhance the ability of the people all over the globe is unique. This states that the company is welcoming and accepting. With the innovation and introduction of 5G the new CEO of Verizon, Hans Vestberg has announced 1 million in seed money to the developers who will work and develop new applications for 5G. This simple statement from the CEO shows the commitment of the company and how company is looking forward to moving from their present state to the future (Dickinson Pizlo, 2015). The advancement in technology is of greater value for Verizon and the commitment is shown. The customers are giving importance to the company as they have acknowledged the reshaping of Verizon and how this company is eager to make the lives of everyone better and simpler. Other telecommunication companies are losing their market and their values as Verizon now is holding the wired and wireless communications in its own grip.
The values proclamation for Verizon is its statement of purpose, or statement of mission, symbolizing the organizations open mission. The organization names the contents of the announcement its Responsibility and Standards.
The customers are the most highlighted ones in the mission statement of Verizon. Verizon states that customer experience matters the most as it describes how the organization is dwelling towards success and whether it is accomplishing the goals or not. All-in-all, the statement given by Verizon defines that the organization will be creative and will bring forth new ideas and opportunities, will benefit the shareholders and investors and will provide the necessities of communication to the general public (Vsquez et al., 2018). All of this can be achieved if the company will follow its mission statement at first and puts all its focus on the services being provided to the customer. And so far, the company has been doing a great job. The leadership is doing its part of the play, leading with example, making the company the best one in United States, providing 5G technology to its users.
Integrity and Respect
The centric part of the mission statement of Verizon are integrity and Respect. The values of honesty and being upfront is what the company strives for. On these small yet heavy terms, the company basis its relations. The factor of respect then again is as vital as it gets. The professionalism theme of the company requires the respect factor. Through respect, everyone can be treated equally, and this norm is practiced throughout. It can be seen and heard of from the employees and customer experience centers.
The company requires excellence and result driven performances from the employees. The hiring of talented individuals is a regular norm at Verizon. This leads to innovation and its a common notion that through innovation, advancement can be achieved. Highly talented individuals are the core part of providing customers with great services. This makes the company innovation derived and more prone to customer services. The better the customer experience the better the company will gain from it.
Accepting the mistakes with responsibility and making things go in the right direction is what the company strives for and is a part of the companys mission statement. At Verizon, every single worker is accountable for his or her actions. From top level to the grass roots, every person is responsible for the actions they have taken. This factor makes the company stronger internally and allows the workers to gain experience from their mistakes and make things right in the future by not making the same mistake again (Baur et al., 2016). Even the whole organization itself is responsible for all the actions it is taking. The world of communication is a combination of failures as well and this company has been a part of one the failed companies as well, but with the right attitude that this company has showed and followed, it has gain risen to great heights.
Verizon Wireless vision, mission, objectives, and the basic beliefs have not changed, the things that have changed or happened are simply unimportant adjustments. Depending upon the market requests, the objectives have been changed to result in the best esteem for the client while guaranteeing that other corporate objectives are being accomplished by the organization. Through the mission statement, the advancements and esteem creation for whats to come keep on being the focal point of center for this organization. The fundamental beliefs, organization strategies, and destinations are altogether adjusted similarly as the objectives and are amazingly basic in the accomplishment of Verizon Wireless s key objectives
