My research interest in the area of business is resources management and sustainable development. The area focuses on the management of energy and water along with development. It inspired me because of the fact that human wants are unlimited while resources are scarce. In addition, while consuming these resources environment gets damaged due to human error. Therefore, it is important to increase research in this area. The research will allow making the efficient use of available resources without damaging the environment. It is necessary to turn the excessive or wrong use of the resources into efficient and sustainable use.

I have opted for a doctoral program in business because of profound and protracted inclinations towards pursuing a solid career in business administration. The field is highly demanded and rigorous. It pushes the person to think out of the box which enhance the skills and polishes the abilities for the future. Moreover, it increases the opportunities to pursue a profession with a good salary. I have chosen the University of the Cumberlands for my degree because it encourages intellectual services and leadership. It emphasizes on the ability, talent, skills, motivation, and character rather than the amount of money. Because of my interest in research, the university is tailor made to provide me the opening through their professional faculty members. Faculty that is ready to share their experience to enhance the skills of their students.

As an individual, my strength is my willingness to do any sort of work. I do not get demotivated easily and have worthy communication skills. My weaknesses include being little reserve and not sharing ambiguities and complexities with others because of which I often feel stressed whenever I miss any deadline or commitment. My strengths will help me as a doctoral business student by increasing my interest and motivation to complete the degree. As I am a motivated person, the hard time during the degree will not be the issue and good communication will be helpful to enhance my knowledge. However, my weakness of being reserve can become a barrier to control the stressful situation.

The future practice of the business will be heading towards sustainability. The exploitation of the environment is a detrimental big issue of today's world and people are now endeavoring to maintain and balance the environment. After completing my degree I can see myself with strong leadership in the future. The doctoral degree will definitely improve and enhance my leadership skills to get valued at each stage of the business.
